PNG to JPG
Turn PNG files into JPG with a quality slider and a background colour for any transparent areas. Because the conversion runs in your browser rather than on a server, your file is never uploaded, never stored and never seen by anyone else.
Drop your file to start.
The converter needs JavaScript, because the conversion itself runs on your own device rather than on a server. Enable JavaScript to load it.
Why convert PNG to JPG
PNG is lossless, which makes it excellent for screenshots, logos and anything with sharp edges, but heavy for photographs. A photo saved as PNG is often five to ten times larger than the same photo as JPG at a quality nobody can tell apart. JPG is also the format most widely accepted by older software, print services and email clients.
What happens to transparency
JPG has no alpha channel. Transparent pixels are filled with the background colour you choose in Settings, which defaults to white. If you need the transparency, convert to WEBP instead.

Frequently asked questions
Will converting PNG to JPG reduce quality?
JPG is lossy, so some detail is discarded. At the default 85% quality the difference is almost always invisible on photographs. On screenshots and line art you may notice softening around sharp edges.
What happens to the transparent parts of my PNG?
They are filled with the background colour set in Settings, white by default, because JPG cannot store transparency.
Can I convert several PNG files at once?
Yes. Drop as many as you like and convert the whole queue in one press.
Is the converted JPG watermarked?
No. The output is a plain JPG with nothing added.
